Mathindri Abeysinghe – a tech consultant with a desire to empower women

Name: Mathindri Abeysinghe

Role:  Technical Program Manager for

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands – from Colombo.


Mathindri has spent her life being interested in technology, and began learning how to code when we were in the eras of desktops, dial-up modems and Hotmail.
Now, her career focuses her work across different roles such as Software Tester, Technical Support , Business Analyst and Scrum Master.

Mathindri has an impressive education from studying at the University of Bangalore, India for her Bachelor of Software Engineering, Macquarie University, Sydney for her Masters of information Technology to completing a Leading People course at the prestigious Harvard University.

Mathindri believes “there is no such thing as a bad project” but that “it’s about how we work together in a culture-first environment with clear goals to achieve the objective(s). It is about how we accept changes and prioritise the minimal viable solutions to make it happen.”

She says her experience as a young child with her alma mater, Visakha Vidyalaya in Colombo helped her to become brave, be willing to experiment, to learn and to always validate new ideas – which has proven incredibly useful in her career in Strategic Delivery and Planning. 

Mathindri’s aspiration is to mentor and build communities which empower #womenintech, with the goal of working together to strengthen confidence, develop leadership skills and challenge gender bias.
